Objective:
Opportunity to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to a professional working environment, gain skills and experience necessary to prepare for a successful career in Human Resources.
Brief outline of duties
- Revitalise New Employee Handbook.
- Assist in preparation and execution of employee induction/orientation.
- Research HIV/Aids employer best practice, benchmark and develop appropriate programme suitable to Cummins.
- Participate in development of employee portal (intranet).
- Updating various databases.
- Assist with interviewing.
- Play a coordinator role in compensation and benefits alignment of three independent business units.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and abilities:
- University Student in final year of study or completed studies (Bachelors or Honours degree level)
- Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Good written and oral communication skills;
- Good organizational skills;
- Detail oriented;
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email;
- Desire to learn and develop their talents;
- Appreciation of diversity;
- Assertive;
- Self-starter
- Driven
- High energy levels

Brief outline of duties
Develop market segment profiles
I.This will include all the market research
II.Developing appropriate questionnaires
III.Interviewing OEM's, Dealers and end-users
IV.Conducting the fieldwork / data collection and analysis
Development of targeted marketing plans for specific market segments
I.Planning and executing of promotions within a specific brand or market segment
II.Communication material / media
III.Assisting sales staff in implementation of initiatives
Tracking and monitoring of programmes.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and abilities:
- University Student in final year of study (Bachelors or Honours degree level)
