Dear Recipients

In response to requests for assistance from Tshepo Mothlale,City of Johannesburg Acting Divisional Chief, Disaster Management Centre, Gift of the Givers sends in teams and supplies to flood affected Orlando West, Soweto, this evening. Hot cooked meals, blankets, clothing and hygiene packs form part of the initial response. Early assessment indicates that 1200 families have been affected.

As the picture becomes clearer during daylight hours  rapid, appropriate interventions will follow.
