CCTNSA (Countrystyle Community Tourism Network, South Africa) was honoured to welcome the SA High Commissioner to the Caribbean, Mathu Joyini, to a Presentation Report on the CCTNSA Study Tour to Jamaica to share learnings on community development led by community based tourism.

Mrs. Joyini was presented with a commemorative replica of the world’s largest diamond which was mined at Cullinan by the Cullinan Chamber of Commerce and with tokens of appreciation from the City of Tshwane and from CCTNSA.

Representatives of the Tourism, Sport and Economic Departments of the City of Tshwane, Knysna Tourism, the Cullinan Chamber of Commerce, the Cullinan Diamond Mine, South African Tourism and other Tourism and Sport stakeholders attended the special Presentation which was held at the Cullinan Golf Course.

Mrs. Joyini, who was visiting South Africa to attend the African Union’s Global Summit for Unity of the African Diaspora, thanked the CCTNSA Team for encouraging tourism, sport and trade relationships between South Africa and Jamaica and encouraged strengthening of relationships between the two countries.

Says Don Leffler, Director of the Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Business School (THSBS), “Mrs. Joyini is a true Ambassador for South Africa and tourism and sport stakeholders were thrilled to meet her in Cullinan where she was the Guest of Honour at a Presentation by CCTNSA on its recent study tour to Jamaica to share learnings on community development led by community based tourism and sport development initiatives.”
