Those who achieve this unit standard will be able to conduct assessments within their fields of expertise once they have been assessed as competent and have registered as constituent assessors with the relevant SETA. RPL assessment is intended for those already working in the field of education and training and who have been exposed to the principles and practices of assessment in general

RPL participants will be given access to various documents to be used during the assessment process.

RPL candidates will need to have access to tools and instruments related to specific assessments as well as have access to candidates for assessment.

Must review the actual assessment process
Candidates will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence and submit this for RPL assessment.
Candidates will be given comprehensive portfolio guidelines to assist in the completion of the portfolio of evidence
