At Earth.org we have no office! Our team members are placed all over the globe. We work from the beach or in the mountains, in cities or at the countryside, at home with kids or whilst traveling. Earth.org is a collaboratively written travel guide (with a non-profit approach).
If you like to write, want to contribute and share your favourite restaurant in your hometown or some info on your traveling experiences, you share your knowledge - and if we all do this a new way of travel can emerge. You suddenly have free and reliable travel information in the Internet, as you have it now with Wikipedia for the world of encyclopedia. Go the www.earth.org and look around, write and/or become an ambassador for your city.
PAID TRAVEL GUIDE WRITERS
We are looking for candidates who can work 20hrs a week (3 Euro per hour) to add content to allocated cities. This does not involve writing original content but rather creating mash-ups from sites with creative commons license. We do provide you with guidelines and training. You therefore need the following:
• Minimum 20hrs per week
• PC with internet, mic and speakers
• Good command of the English language
• Experience in internet research, social media sites, Flickr, Skype, MSWord
• Commitment to the earth.org project
