Hi Sylvia,
When I try to open messages etc, I get the the notification “oops, page not found”. I remember that some weeks ago you commented on this and suggested how to deal with it. I did not have the time then and I can’t find that message now. Please help. Trying to open from my profile does not work. Thanks-
Hi Petra, good to hear from you. Yes, you remember correctly. I will do the update to your profile which should sort it out, you will probably need to log in again.
Regards
sylvia-
Thanks Sylvia

Hi Sylvia
I’m getting friend requests and can’t respond to it – when I open the email request the requested page cannot be found – I assume I’m doing something wrong. Any advice?
Kind regards
Pieter Erasmus

Hi Pieter,
Thanks for making contact – yes that does sound rather odd.
But I suggest a work-around.
Look at you name on the right hand, mouse over or click there for your whole profile details.
Scroll down a bit to Friends – that has a Pending requests – try going through that way.
Please let me know if it works.
Thanks
sylvia

Greetings esteemed and respectable colleagues.
Now we are finally talking! I am an LMD myself and not once have any potential client accepted my quote. At first I thought I was over-pricing, but when I saw the prices that go for a full qualification, I thought to myself there is no way that a full qualification can be worth that little. Now I…[Read more]

@sylviahammond Good day, I would like to know; do the rebates still apply to foreigners or is it only for SA citizens? Thank you.
-
Hi Charity – not following you – which rebates? Please click on your name on the top right hand & from the drop down menu you can send me a private message.
-
Hi – if you are referring to Grants from SETAs for WSP and ATR , then the grants are only applicable to South Africans – no foreigners unfortunately. This also therefore follows with the Tax Rebates which are applied for learnerships and apprenticeships – only South Africans can complete these, so the Tax Rebate is for South Africans only.
Hope…[Read more]-
Dear Janelle, Thank you for the information. Is there any reason why and what would qualify them to be claimed under? Tnx
-
HI Charity
The DHET and the Skill Dev Act states that the grants are for SA citizens only. The grants come from the 1% levy that companies pay as a skills levy so it is felt that this should be used for upskilling of SA citizens.
I am not aware of any funding that is available for foreigners unfortunately!

Dear Charity. If you are referring to the SARS tax rebate for employers for learnership candidates, the SARS website is very helpful.

Thank you Kate. Sorry for late response.

Hi
Just curious. Has anyone had any feedback yet regarding the possibility of CCs being able to register without becoming Pty Ltds. @sylviahammond and @lynelfarrell have you had any answers regarding this yet please? Waiting with bated breath as my little providers are starting to panic…
Thanks in advance
-
Colette. Glad you are concerned. What have you done thus far to get all these answers? Have you addressed this with the various Authorities?
-
Hi Colette, please could you assist. The providers that you are currently assisting with the application – if you have Close Corporations, please, we need names. We are taking this to the Minister of Education – it is our final opportunity to help small providers. We need no less than 100 names urgently.
-
Have messaged you the names.
-
Hi Colette, did you email it to me? Just want to make sure, and thank you for assisting in this process. If we can get at least 100 Close Corporations, it will carry weight and this will assist others for sure!
-
Hi Lynel
I saw your other post so I’m just sourcing their CC reg numbers. Will email them to you shortly – please could you give me your address again?
Thanks so much for the work that you are doing!-
Found it above, sorry.
-
Hi Colette, that is awesome thank you so much. If you know of any other providers that are currently attempting the application themselves and they are also registered as CCs, please spread the word, we want a huge list to present! My email address is: lynel.farrell@gmail.com
