The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Amendment Act, has been published.
We have been waiting for a while for this amendment act.

Yes I am interested to see the alignment with the NSDP. To my mind it requires some rethinking of some of the qualifications – especially part qualifications.

It is the time of year when Employment Equity reports are prepared.

The Department of Higher Education and Training Science & Technology has issued a call for nominations for SETA Board Chairpersons.
Although the SETAs have been re-established for a 10 year period, the nominations call for a 5 year period.

Are all the legacy qualifications expiring on the same date?
Are all the last enrollment dates therefore the same?
Is that regardless of the duration of the qualification?

Your comments on business are interesting. I recall that the late Gill Connellan, who is responsible for the founding of ASDSA, always said that SDFs need to understand business – that they need to be strategic & able to provide strategic business advice.
