Hi Bridgette, I am sorry that you are struggling with your application. My understanding is that you applied to the CETA, and you need to make some amendments/adjustments – do this first. Yes, it is true, that if you have applied for a legacy qualification that have not been aligned to an occupational qualification, then you will again have to a…[Read more]

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the advice. I will definitely make contact with QCTO to find out what’s going on. It’s been a fairly stressful process so I’m hoping for a positive outcome. My course is a SAQA alligned qualification and oddly enough I have a referral letter from QCTO sent on 14 May to tell me that I can go ahead and apply for the…[Read more]

Morning – I must add I did a submission for a very well known retail company on a qualification and believe it or not.. the file with all the info got “lost” 3 times. I have this client on my back for so long.. and it looks so unprofessional however, I would suggest maybe to go to the CETA office and see them, then pay a visit to QCTO but Lynel is…[Read more]

Thank you for posting your concerns about your situation. There are a number of members here who can advise you – I am sure Lynel will respond.
I am not clear what your qualification is – and whether it is a legacy qualification. If it is, it is appalling that the CETA have not advised you – in detail – about what is happening with…[Read more]

I am writing in a flat panic. I kicked off the construction CETA accreditation process 6 months back and I am almost there, I’ve had feedback from CETA regarding my file and I only need to amend a few minor items. I’ve put my heart and soul into this, time energy and money! I am now hearing though that there is a chance that this is all…[Read more]
Thank you Laveen, my first workshop will be on the 19th July in Gauteng!
A workshop would indeed be beneficial.
Hi Namganso and All,
I often look for freelance Facilitators, Assessors and Moderators on Skills Universe on behalf of my clients. Yes, we do need staffing for the accreditation process for my clients, but my clients enter into contract and Service Level Agreements with successful candidates. It is not merely for accreditation purposes as my…[Read more]
Good day Members,
I will be running a workshop on how to apply for accreditation to the QCTO. Please see attached advert. There are a couple of seats still available. Booking is essential.

Thank you Tass, I will need to look at a venue (and cost) that can cater a maximum of 20 individuals. If there is a big need, then I could run this workshop over a number of days – this depends on the need and if providers require a workshop to take them through the complete process.

It would be a really valuable workshop! Please, come to Cape Town!!! Many of us will attend 🙂
Thank you for responding to Nangamso with your advice.
I am extremely concerned with your comments about providers on skills-universe. We did have this issue raised before – and it was made clear that providers need to make clear exactly what the status is – that is do they have an actual project – or are they looking for extension of…[Read more]
Its rather unfortunate that you find such dubious service providers out there that are extremely dodgy and some on skills universe. But you can never tell. Services seta is the most efficient because as your registration is tied to your email, you get alert emails and you can begin to act by either calling the services seta helpline or call the…[Read more]
Hi Simphiwe, the QCTO doesn’t run workshops on how to compile an application for accreditation. I will be running workshops (not a presentation or conference) by working with providers, taking them through the process. There is a big difference between a SETA accreditation application and a QCTO application. I will share my experience with the…[Read more]
Hi Sylvia. Yes, there is a need for the workshop as long as the QCTO carries the cost. And they actually attend the workshop and answer our questions. There has been a lot of workshops by TETA where TETA had to answer our QCTO questions because QCTO didn’t honour the invite.
For some time now, I have been sharing information and assisting providers via email, calls and private messages through social media/networks. Do you think that a workshop on the application for accreditation to the QCTO would be valuable? Note: a workshop not a presentation.
Is there a need for a workshop on the QCTO application…[Read more]
