Hi Kate
Contact details of a specific person or persons will help a lot, just contacting the QCTO leads nowhere. -

Hi
OK I am now having a huge blonde moment – if the SETAS no longer have ETQA status, who is responsible for the QA then and why do we still have to comply with the demands from the SETAs? I think I must have […] -

Hi Sylvia
I hear you, but this problem has been present from the beginning and is probably one of the reasons why SETAs will be closing, if these rumours are true. Part of the problem is employees who either do […] -

Hi Sylvia
I hear you, but this problem has been present from the beginning and is probably one of the reasons why SETAs will be closing, if these rumours are true. Part of the problem is employees who either do not know how to do their work properly or just could not be bothered. Whatever.
It seems to me that having pride in your work is an…[Read more] -

I doubt very much that the file has been lost, the person involved probably just does not feel like working. It would be nice to know if we can hold individual employees at a SETA legally responsible for financial […]

To continue with my comment earlier, about 18 months ago I had a long conversation with somebody who was employed at a Seta – no names will be metioned – on a contract basis and this person out of her own accord said that she could not wait for her contract to be over. I doubt very much that the file has been lost, the person involved probably just does not feel like working. It would be nice to know if we can hold individual employees at a SETA legally responsible for financial losses, as I am sure we only have to take one person to court for everyone to shape up and all this nonsense to stop.

OK to reply specifically to your questions, yes I am an SMME provider, have not been a member of a professional body so would not be able to comment about their ability to cater for our specific needs. OK I have quickly read the comments about the need of a professional body and have to say that it was a pleasant surprise that so many other SMME providers are frustrated by the obstructive processes in place at the moment and the prospect that this will continue in the future.
