@lynelfarrell I know we have raised this a couple of times – but what is a fair rate for assessment of a qualification with 150 credits on NQF 4?

Morning All. We are applying for an Extension of Scope for one of our clients and when following up with QCTO in regard to the LOI and why its taking so long we received the following information:
“The QCTO is embarking on developing an online system that will be used in submitting all applications. The Accreditation team is requested not to…[Read more]

Hi Sorry – sometimes the fingers go faster than the brain.
I did however want to raise a concern and perhaps get feedback on how providers are responding to the accreditation end dates of all Seta accreditation as 30 March 2020 (which was the seta end date – which is now extended). Whilst this extension is long in place now many providers have…[Read more]-
Hi Tholsia, there has been a lot of discussions regarding the re-accreditation status of providers for March 2020. Some Setas will issue new letters from next month. You can imagine the flood of emails to the SETAs. The providers need to keep in close contact with their SETA, follow up via email (keep it in writing), and should they not receive…[Read more]

Hi Lynel. Thank you for responding. Whilst I fully understand procedurally – I think the manner that it is done is very disrespectful to the private provider industry. We are getting into February and this matter is not adequately addressed in most seta’s hence my posting. This impacts on all our businesses, and if you belong to a few seta’s then…[Read more]

Hi Tholsia, I agree with you. You are more than welcome to post a discussion on this. I am currently busy with the January DHET Annual Survey deadline, which follows by the IEB Annual Registration. I receive a number of calls, messages and emails on a daily basis regarding this subject. Go ahead and post a discussion, to get more providers on board.

Hi Renee. You are right, Lynel and Nigel are doing amazing work! As Lynel pointed out on another post, you definitely still need to go ahead with registration as the consequences for not complying are major. There has been no feedback yet regarding possible extensions or changes so if you have at least got proof of submitting your application by…[Read more]

Hi
Just curious. Has anyone had any feedback yet regarding the possibility of CCs being able to register without becoming Pty Ltds. @sylviahammond and @lynelfarrell have you had any answers regarding this yet please? Waiting with bated breath as my little providers are starting to panic…
Thanks in advance
-
Colette. Glad you are concerned. What have you done thus far to get all these answers? Have you addressed this with the various Authorities?
-
Hi Colette, please could you assist. The providers that you are currently assisting with the application – if you have Close Corporations, please, we need names. We are taking this to the Minister of Education – it is our final opportunity to help small providers. We need no less than 100 names urgently.
-
Have messaged you the names.
-
Hi Colette, did you email it to me? Just want to make sure, and thank you for assisting in this process. If we can get at least 100 Close Corporations, it will carry weight and this will assist others for sure!
-
Hi Lynel
I saw your other post so I’m just sourcing their CC reg numbers. Will email them to you shortly – please could you give me your address again?
Thanks so much for the work that you are doing!-
Found it above, sorry.
-
Hi Colette, that is awesome thank you so much. If you know of any other providers that are currently attempting the application themselves and they are also registered as CCs, please spread the word, we want a huge list to present! My email address is: lynel.farrell@gmail.com

@lynelfarrell Hey Lynel,
Congrats, it all finally came together! Sorry I have been so quiet, been hectic. Since our last contact I have relocated up to JHB from Durban and am now working for one of the training providers in establishing ETQA processes. Still haven’t settled but getting there. Will get back into everything soon. -

@lynelfarrell Hi Lynel,
I think that the majority of the problem stems from focussing on Assessor and Moderator registrations and not looking at the higher levels of ETD Practitioner in the QA process. Originally there was a set of 4 unit standards under ETDP that covered Assessor, Moderator, Verifier and Evaluator. Since that time, the as…[Read more] - Load More
