Skills Programmes do not have the same documents as a Part-Qualification or a Full Qualification. You will also notice that Skills Programmes do no have an Assessment Specification Document, as learners do not need to write the EISA at an Assessment Centre.
I could only find two skills programmes that included a proper curriculum document.

Hi Des,
I know that you think that majority of providers have given up, but I still want to carry on, with those who want to keep their heads above water. Yes, it is survival, yes some have given up. I am not ready to give up yet. There should be something that can be done, it just takes a lot of time and effort to get there. Don’t give up. -

Careful reading …….. I requested my learning records from SAQA in 2019, and was so surprised that even my Gr12 (Senior Certificate) was recorded on the NLRD. All the Qualifications and Unit Standards through the years were recorded. Every single one of them. And there are more being added, as they are linked to the NQF, they are registered,…[Read more]

For those that are following the progress on this appeal from Providers to scrap the stipulated rule of 8 credits (minimum duration of 2 weeks) for occupational skills programmes to be registered, approved and accredited. The current stats to appeal the decision and stipulation of skills programmes and/or short programmes less than 8 credits (2 weeks of training) that will not be registered or approved by the QCTO- 59.6% will close doors, 37.1% will down-size and retrench staff. We are not at our target as yet – but let me show you what the impact is at the moment with small providers offering short programmes that are less than 2 weeks (and accredited to run it) 57.4% will have to close their doors and 39.3% will need to downsize and retrench staff.
