Charles Dey replied to the topic Offering Training When Not Accredited? in the forum
Accreditation Help Centre 1 year, 3 months ago
My view is that if a provider makes it clear that the training they are providing is non accredited there is no problem with providing it.
There are courses being provided in South Africa which, whilst being non South African accredited (e.g. SETA/ CHE), may be recognised by overseas institutions. I see no problem in advertising this international…[Read more] -

I’m not sure, you’d have to ask APPETD

Well done on this initiative Sylvia. However, I’m not sure whether this question is out of place, but would this document not have carried greater weight had it been addressed from APPETD, as the duly constituted and elected body representing private providers, rather than an informally constituted online interest group? Just asking

eLearning is a powerful weapon in the war to improve competency and I think that the fact that COVID- 19 has catalysed this decision is a real blessing.

You need to be in regular contact with those responsible for DG funding at the Setas for which you are accredited as a provider. Also, the companies who are registered levy payers with those Setas received regular updates on DG window information.

Charles Dey replied to the topic Single provider, multiple QC accreditations? in the forum The Help Desk 4 years, 7 months ago
Thanks very much Nigel and Suzanne. Does then the provider in question apply to their primary SETA for accreditation for various qualifications under an MOU between that SETA and Umalusi andCHE, or must one apply from the start for accreditation from Umalusi and CHE?
Many thanks -

Good Morning,
Please could you assist me with the following question:

QC for Higher Education (Council on Higher Education)

As a holder of the qualification I can endorse its usefulness for those involved in occupationally directed education and training.
It is useful not only for those who are involved in providing training but also those involved in administering occupationally directed training but also those involved in administering it (SDF’s, SETA staff etc.) -

Thokozani, you don’t need a nuclear power plant to make medical isotopes, all you need is a reactor. When did you last visit Pelindaba?
What evidence is there to support the contention that the (ruinously expensive) nuclear power programme will have greater socio economic benefits than the development of (far more affordable and sustainable)…[Read more] -
