Teta is all Aviation trades and then the general engineering trades as used by Transnet and Maritime, the certification is a problem for Aviation trades as the artisan has to do 2 years experience before they can apply for AME licenses with SACAA. This must be a joke!!
There are hundreds of certificates outstanding for lots of trades. And this is going back years and new certificates are also not coming out of the system. Don’t these people feel ashamed to make statements like this.

We had a similar problem a fewyears ago and they (Damelin) tried everything to not pay back the money ….the U/S that was used for the training was lapsed and the assessors were not even registered. They even had the SETA take me on and then they also had their lawyer…but in the end ..and not to long, they paid the money back.

I must say that TETA keeps us busy and makes us work for results!!!!!!! After reading all the comments here i feel much beter , we are not the only stupid skills development company in SA!!!
After 12 years in skills we were told that we dont know the fundamentals of Skills Development!!!

I would argue the point of what would happen if i was in an accident and it was not my fault?? How would this be handeld..it could be just as nerve racking as been hi-jacked, people could have died in the accident and i could have not been hurt……would the off time then be seen as sick leave or compassionate leave ?? @kikicoppin Labour laywers dont always keep abreast with all the case laws and then sometimes only look at the LRA; BCEA and relevant acts….this can cost employers lots!! well even the employees too!
