I know that you think that majority of providers have given up, but I still want to carry on, with those who want to keep their heads above water. Yes, it is survival, yes some have given up. I am not ready to give up yet. There should be something that can be done, it just takes a lot of time and effort to get there. Don’t give up.

I honestly believe that the majority of providers have already given up. For as long as I have been involved with the powers that be at the SETAS, The QCTO, SAQA, Dept., of Higher Education and so on I can honestly say that very little has changes and that very few of those involved actually care what providers think. Careful reading …….. I requested my learning records from SAQA in 2019, and was so surprised that even my Gr12 (Senior Certificate) was recorded on the NLRD. The current stats to appeal the decision and stipulation of skills programmes and/or short programmes less than 8 credits (2 weeks of training) that will not be registered or approved by the QCTO- 59.6% will close doors, 37.1% will down-size and retrench staff.
