CIPPT CEO Resignation & New CEO Appointment

The Chartered Institute of Professional Practitioners and Trainers (CIPPT) has announced the resignation of CEO Ria Walsh, who has stepped down as a result of work commitments.

The CIPPT Board has appointed John Sandys as CEO.

Chair of the Board Marie-Louise Samuels thanked Ria for her contribution and expressed confidence in John's ability to lead CIPPT forward, citing his extensive experience and knowledge of the organisation.

Services Seta confirm validity of SDP accreditation

Skills development providers will be aware that in January 2022 the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) confirmed that qualifications developed before 2009 (legacy qualifications, or unit-standard based qualifications) would end registration of 30 June 2023.

The Services Seta has issued a letter confirming that the accreditation status that skills development providers currently hold for legacy qualifications will remain valid in association with the qualification last date of enrolment (30 June 2024), and the last date of achievement (30 June 2027).
