Following up on a previous discussion regarding SAQA and the quality of records on the NLRD, I picked up this post, quoted below. I have brought it into a new discussion, to bring to everyone’s attention, and so that it is not lost in a very long and complex discussion.

‘I have noticed that SAQA changed their terminology and now refers to the “record of learning” as “an extract from the NLRD” ‘ – posted 5 September 2020.

I have not seen this in any communication from SAQA, but that may simply be because I am having enormous difficulty keeping up with all the reading, including the Zoom, webinar, MS Teams world of work, now added to everything else.

So I am not sure what the reasoning is, or what the consequences are.

    Please contribute.

    Hi Winson,
I am sorry I cannot answer that question.

You need to ask the Seta that you are dealing with. If you have any issues, I would suggest contact Thomas Lata at QCTO.
