I received a private message in response to the invitation to an RPL workshop to be held in Gauteng - about the possibility of making this an online course.
I couldn’t agree more. This is a very hot button for me. I responded on that discussion, but thought many members might not see it, and that it is worth posting separately to this group.

My understanding is that Ikamva means "the future" and clearly this is a crucial area for future skills development.

Just saw a letter from Services SETA retracting their announcement to accredit e-learning providers.
No explanation given….
Hugely disappointing especially as its a global trend and gets special focus in the DHET White Paper on the Post school system

Just to keep those who are not aware of this new development in the loop.
The Services SETA announced on the 13th of Feb 2017 that a decision was taken to allow SDP’s to apply for accreditation using e-learning as a delivery and assessment methodology.
The E-learning guidelines and criteria for accreditation is available from the SETA
