Hi there

We deliver training programmes for rural entrepreneurs and cannot work remotely or online. I assume that Training providers fall under "education" and that we will be treated the same as schools and universities, etc? In other words, we cannot do any physical training until (maybe) 01 June?

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) - in my opinion -manages ones of the best, always updated, and most easily accessible websites.

For further information on the tax relief and repayment schedule please see this link:

The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL Minister Nxesi gave a media briefing on the requirements for a (level) stage 4 workplace and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Compliance .

Skills-universe members will probably feel that I go on about the expertise of South Africans - it's true I do believe that our collective level of expertise is totally under-appreciated. So, I enjoyed the opening paragraphs of this article in the University World News Africa Edition, by Mark Paterson.

Members will note that I have not posted specific COVID-19 information - that is all available on the very comprehensive coronavirus portal - link on top right of this site.

But these are the Regulations that move us from Alert Level 5 to Alert Level 4 - governing of life forward.

Please download a copy of the final gazetted Regulations. On your right click Downloads then at the top you will find a copy of the Risk-adjusted Strategy Gazette.

Note. Chapters 1 and 2 of the Regulations apply whatever the regardless of the level.
