You are most welcome Sylvia. I received the full version this morning at 09:28 from DHET. Now we await the letters that will be distributed to each and every applicant that have been waiting as far back as March 2017. Perhaps the next roll-out will be better and more suitable for skills development providers.

Please indicate the range of size of SDPs – down to single persons – not colleges.
Andrew who does the outdoor training under the hospitality seta has mega headaches.
    See his posts.

Maybe you/DHET should make contact with him to understand the issue.
    Keep up the good work.
    regards sylvia

The DHET have acknowledged that they will take into account the nature and business operations of SDPs, and have clearly seen the difference between corporate providers and the small providers (suitcase providers). Andrew’s issues are directly with the SETA with learner uploads which have not been done for a long time – he should try to escalate this first within the SETA (follow the reporting line), thereafter report to the QCTO with evidence of the reporting line followed at the SETA, and thereafter report this issue to the DHET for help. There are many small providers whom have battled with the DHET registration however, they pulled through to the applicant list (very small providers – suitcase providers). The DHET is aware of the different sizes – and we hope that the next roll-out will have suitable requirements and a better process.

Now we wait and see what this new application process, clear procedures and requirements will look like. Fingers crossed that it will be a smooth process.
