Accredited Training Providers in support of addressing concerns to Minister

Stop complaining about the DHET application for registration nightmare! Let your voice be heard. Together we can achieve a better, streamlined DHET registration process for all providers!
This is the reality of the private sector, whether it seems a bit harsh, or perhaps not? Since the confusion hit the industry late in 2016 with Communique 1 of 2016, the accredited training provider space/industry/sector took a negative journey with little assistance, no guidance, continuous confusion, rumours, attempting to work on guidelines which is clearly outdated by a decade, not fit for the private sector at all. Non-communication, non-awareness and confusing regulations continued, with no solutions or improvement to the current “compulsory” registration application to the DHET. There is no set standard and each department have their own rules, which is covered in red tape, which are forcing ethical, honest training providers, more than just the compulsory R500.00 application fee, which is non-refundable.
Once the application for registration with the DHET became compulsory for all accredited training providers nationwide, to adhere to, it created huge increased fees from accountants, auditors, health and safety representatives, insurance companies, courier companies and the like. Knowing that the DHET compels the accredited training provider in specific documents, various services are out of the normal price range for majority of providers. Is this done intentionally to close down thousands of training providers nationwide?
Frustrated that your application was submitted almost 2 years ago, and still no registration have happened, nor feedback received? Frustrated that you have had to submit your SARS document twice, as it has expired twice already and still no feedback? Frustrated of the costs that you have paid to compile your application (killing a forest), courier fees, financial surety/guarantee (whereby you might have to even get a second bond on your property to please the DHET’s red tape), continuous calls and emails (un-answered) at your cost because you want to comply? You are not alone, there are over 2000 accredited training providers waiting for registration. They are all frustrated and angry. A combination of entrepreneurs, small businesses right up to JSE listed companies, can’t even please the application for registration and/or get progress (2 years and counting). Yes, it doesn’t mean if you are a corporate/big brand, that you get any favours, every applicant stand in line (a very delayed, stretched, frustrating, costing and wasteful journey for many).
There is a movement to address this with the Minister: Naledi Pandor, and with this submission, a list of 500 accredited training providers will be included which supports the concerns being addressed. Please, support this submission of concerns by completing the survey – share this survey with other accredited training providers, to come on board.
Herewith the link to the survey:
Should you wish to skip the survey and just forward your details, to be listed as supporting the concerns to be submitted to the DHET Minister, please forward your details to firstname.lastname@example.org

Thank you so much for your efforts on behalf of all of us!!!!
Is this a new survey? I did the previous one and forwarded it to all my clients and industry contacts. I am in full support of what you’re doing for us. Keep up the excellent work! Thank you again.

You are most welcome.
Unfortunately, it is the same survey still running. We have only got 197 Training Providers in support of this submission. We are not reaching the goal of 500. The survey needs to be shared with all Training Providers, in order to get our submission of concerns to the Minister. Time is running out, and the submission must reach the Minister in the next 2 weeks, otherwise this is not going to work. How do we get more providers on board to support this?

It’s going to take more than social media to reach this goal. So, the recommendations and suggestions from those who have placed their name on the list in support of the concerns to be submitted to the DHET Minister, indicated that I should make use of the DHET applicant list, and email all 2401 providers in order to get to the 500 training providers. And here I thought that providers would jump and say add me, I support the submission! It is going to take much longer than I anticipated.

Another day at DHET, and it seems like all providers that submitted their applications in 2017 will be receiving an email from the DHET – if your application didn’t give your email address very clear, your letter will be posted – with snail-mail ……………. – frustration for many will start. Take a deep breath, and as soon as you have received your letter, then you submit what the DHET request you to submit again (it will be all the documents that are outdated and/or have expired). There is no need to get upset.

Accredited Training Providers!
Just a quick thank you to those who have completed the survey in support of concerns that will be submitted to the Minister. We all want a quick, smooth and fair registration process with the DHET. There are many challenges and frustrations. Currently, 311 Training Providers (from very small to Large Corporate organisations) have completed the survey and are supporting this drive. Please don’t stop sharing this survey. We are short of 189 training providers to complete this survey, in order for our concerns to be submitted to the Minister. Together we can do this. Don’t give up hope now, let’s share this survey with other training providers to complete. For those who have offered to help, thank you so much. We only have 189 training providers to come on board!! Let’s do this, and make a difference in the private education industry!

Accredited Training Providers
Please support this drive to solutions regarding the application for registration with the DHET. There are various concerns that we all would like to submit to the Minister. By completing the survey, it gives stats, and confirmation that the registration process needs to be streamlined for all accredited training providers. We have 350 training providers that have completed the survey in support of the submission of concerns that will be submitted to the Minister. Our target list of support is 500, so we are short of 150 providers. Please take 2 minutes and support this drive to solutions.
