Leading such an amazing programme has been a real joy to me and when one considers that the Human Resource Development (HRD) landscape is not just driven by the SETA system, but by a range of players. It also just that there are other positive opportunities out there that are not constrained by the inefficiency of the current SETA/OQF system.
For me the Jobs Fund green jobs project has demonstrated how important 'joined-up' projects are for sectors that are in dire need of transformation and job-enabling initiatives.
It also shows that one can get strategic HRD programmes through the current public funding system without the SETA's or DHET playing the leading role.
