Youth Skills Vocational Development Manager for Education NGO in Port Elizabeth

Youth Development NGO in Port Elizabeth is seeking an experienced Skills Development Manager or Consultant to run our student vocational training needs, access funding and training providers.

You will be expected to plan, develop, implement and evaluate training and related activities to ensure that the learners acquire the skills and develop the competencies required to meet organisational and learning objectives

Excellent experience with dealing with SETAS essential, DHET, MBDA, as well National Skills Fund and other public agencies offering skills development assistance to NGO’s.

Must be willing to facilitate and have good network of facilitators to create our skills development / vocational training programme.

NB : Please note that the challenge of this role is that the majority of students have Grade 9 or below, they are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have low levels of literacy and numeracy.

Must be:
Fluent in English essential and Afrikaans and / or Xhosa advantageous
Drivers Licence and own car esssential
5 years minimum experience in similar role
A relevant NQF 4 qualification, or equivalent thereof
Assessor Certificate 115753 NQF Level 5
Facilitator Certificate 117871 NQF Level 5 advantageous
Proof of Registration with SETA as an constituent assessor within 3 months of appointment
Excellent networker and highly confident to meet and initiate partnerships. Must represent the project to the highest standard
Excellent computer and admin skills
Energetic, proactive and ability to take initiative to research and implement this programme on your own
Proven success in previous role
