Transform Your Organisation Learning Through Innovative Business Simulations
I am very excited to introduce our latest offering to you. I honestly believe that this is a major game changer in the management development and learning space.
In 2008 I was on the University of Stellenbosch’s Executive Development faculty. The global economic crisis had just severely disrupted the world and the main cause of this crisis was down to how poorly the various banks and investment houses had been managed. In one of our faculty sessions I had the audacity to say that the business schools had to take a fair proportion of blame for this crisis in that it was fairly obvious that the traditional way of educating leaders had failed. Needless to say, I did not remain a faculty member for much longer as I had dared to challenge the status quo in executive education which, in many instances, still remains intact today.
So what did I believe the solution was in terms of this challenge. I believed that we needed to develop leaders, managers and general staff through simulations that were as close to the real scenario they would face in the workplace without causing any real harm to the organisation. This was not totally new thinking at that stage – there were organisations that had started used strategy based games such as World of Warcraft to ascertain how their leaders would react in these situations. A great start but not realistically aligned to real challenges in business. Since 2008, I have been searching for an appropriate solution and this is what I would now like to offer you.
We can now offer you a powerful collection of 24 facilitator-led business simulation games which deliver team-based high-impact management/leadership skills development using the latest experiential and social learning techniques. The simulation games are:
