    Dear colleagues and students

This is an update on recent events at UCT.

    Internet access for students

Students who use TelkomMTN and Cell C services to go online can now access university resources (including course and library materials) without incurring data costs.

UCT wishes to thank these service providers for zero-rating access to university websites and playing a role in helping students complete the academic year.

Absolutely great!  Come on Telkom, MTN, Cell C – help the other universities as well.  Vodacom where are you?  These students need this so badly.  Data costs for the students are a problem.  What a great way of helping them!!

Hart-warming to hear this.  It is wonderful that these companies show their empathy with the students
