Social Good Summit 22-24 September 2012

By sylviahammond, 23 September, 2012

"All around the world, people are using digital tools and technologies to connect, transform, and resolve the challenges of today’s most critical global issues. What would happen if all these individuals came together as one community to act on their ideas?

From September 22 to 24, the 2012 Social Good Summit (SGS) will convene experts from the UN, social media, and global development in over 100 countries to discuss those ideas and solutions."

From the UN Foundation briefing for Digital Media

Unfortunately, we can't all afford the time or the money to travel to New York, but the UN Foundation have made it possible to follow the global conversation. It's possible to follow the third annual event - arranged by "Mashable, 92nd Street Y, the United Nations Foundation, Ericsson, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the United Nations Development Programme" - via a number of routes.
