Dear HR professional in the Western Cape
|
This year the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP), the HR professional body, and ETQA of HR learning provision for South Africa is celebrating its 30th anniversary. In celebrating this achievement and in support of the new SAQA policy on professional bodies, the board of SABPP implemented several new changes to advance the HR profession: A new strategy, called HR Voice to be the champion of the HR profession, rebranding of SABPP and the appointment of four high level HR professionals to provide professional products and services to the HR market. Moreover, a process has started to create HR standards and metrics for South Africa.
SABPP is visiting Cape Town for our first Western Cape Provincial Summit, as part of a series of provincial summits throughout the country in order to build sustainable relationships at regional level. The purpose of the SABPP Western Cape Provincial Summit is to drive HR Excellence at provincial level, and to inspire and unite different stakeholders (companies, public sector, learning providers and other key role-players) in pursuit of HR excellence in creating a world-class province. The outcome of this summit is a position paper on HR Excellence in the Western Cape.
