Registered Assessor and Moderator for the Occupational Certificate: Occupational Certificate: First-line Production Supervisor 

 

Position: Associate ETD Practitioner

 

Employment Type: Contractual, as-when-needed basis

 

Location: Umhlanga Rocks, Durban, South Africa

 

Overview:
An accredited training service provider is recruiting qualified and registered Assessors and Moderators to support the delivery of the Occupational Certificate: First-line Production Supervisor. Successful candidates will operate on a flexible contractual basis, contributing to the upskilling of professionals in the production and manufacturing sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

For Assessors:

  • Conduct assessments in line with MERSETA guidelines and quality assurance requirements.
  • Facilitate integrated formative and summative assessments based on the qualification’s exit-level outcomes and criteria.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of learner performance.
  • Provide constructive feedback and developmental support to learners.

 

For Moderators:

  • Oversee and ensure the quality of assessments conducted by Assessors, maintaining alignment with MERSETA standards.
  • Evaluate the consistency, fairness, and validity of assessments.
  • Compile moderation reports and address any non-conformance issues.
  • Support continuous improvement of assessment practices and materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Services SETA (MERSETA) as an Assessor and/or Moderator.
  • Certified to assess and/or moderate the Occupational Certificate: First-line Production Supervisor (SAQA ID 115722) or related qualifications within the manufacturing/production field.

 

Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in facilitating, assessing, or moderating occupational qualifications within this sector.

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
  • Competency in managing diverse learner groups in a professional setting.

 

Employment Terms:

  • Successful applicants will sign an Associate Agreement.
  • Work will be allocated based on demand.
