NQF amendment act - authenticity, verification

The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Amendment Act, has been published.

We have been waiting for a while for this amendment act.

One of the purposes is to prevent the sort of reports we hear in the media of misrepresentation of qualifications.
South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) will be responsible for verifying the authenticity of qualifications or part qualifications - and the equivalence of foreign qualifications.

Look at the definitions in section 1 - skills development provider is defined:
‘‘ ‘skills development provider’ means a provider that is registered with the Department in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, and is accredited by the QC for Trades and Occupations to offer occupational qualifications;’’;

As you read through, look for the amendments to section 32(B) - for the offences. Something to make note of
