Do the SETAs still approve the implementation of learnerships against qualifications that have been replaced by other qualifications, but where no learnerships have been registered against the new qualification? Example:Almost all the qualifications in electricity/electronics/mechatronics have been replaced by the Occupational Certificate 91761. Are the learnerships against the replaced qualifications then automatically deregistered? Have new learnerships been registered against 91761 or other related Occupational Certificates? A large company is urgently looking for a learnership for electricians on NQF Level 4.
