    Good afternoon

We have been approached by one of South Africa’s largest employers who would like to act as a Host Employer to unemployed community members wanting to attend a range of learnerships, including production technology, and health & safety training.

They have asked us to find some companies wanting to act as a Lead Employer that will fund thelearnerships, while the learners receive their workplace experience at a different site.

Learnership Lab will assist with the recruitment of the learners, as well as the training.

The Lead Employer will be required to fund the recruitment and training costs, as well as the learners’ stipends.

If your company is interested, please contact me:

Hi Angie, just to clarify for those interested?

you mention that this company is the ‘host’. They are opening their doors for the unemployed learners for a learnership.

1: does this company have to record/report on critical/scarce skills as per their SETA?
2: any particular criteria on gender/race or disability?
3: where would these learners be placed? (province)
4: what type or field of learnership (qualification name)

    Kind Regards
    Maryna

    Hi Maryna,
Thank you for your post. Much appreciated.
    In answer to your questions:
1: does this company have to record/report on critical/scarce skills as per their SETA?
    – No, they do not.
2: any particular criteria on gender/race or disability?
    – Black males and females. Not disabled people at this stage.
3: where would these learners be placed? (province)
    – In various provinces, but North West to start off with. They are looking to pilot with between 70 and 100 learners.
4: what type or field of learnership (qualification name)
    – Merseta: Production Technology 2
MQA: Occupational Health & Safety Levels 2, 3 and 4

    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Angie
