Hi All, I have just started my SDF and I am a bit stuck with the question below, can anyone please shed some light or point me to some useful resources?

    The difference between:

    • Individual or persons SETA Approval/Certified.
    • Training provider SETA Approval/Certified
    • Training programme SETA Approval/Certified. (Accreditation)

    Much appreciated!

    Hi there,

Here is my understanding of the terms, others may also chip in.

Individual SETA approval refers to the approval of persons such as Assessors and Moderators.
Training provider approval refers to the approval of the organisation /institution as being fit for purpose. This includes buildings, equipment, finances, and OHS matters.
Programme approval deals with a particular course’s content and assessment instruments. These have to satisfy the outcomes set out in the programme’s curriculum.
