Uploading of back issues
Please note that we are slowly uploading back issues onto the Open Journal System (https://journals.ukzn.ac.za/index.php/joe/issue/archive). The issues from 2015 (No 60) until 2018 (No 71) are now uploaded. These articles will soon be allocated a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) which makes them easier to find through online searches.
Open Access
The Journal of Education supports open access and publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
This licence allows users to copy, distribute and transmit an article as long as
• the author is attributed,
• the article is not used for commercial purposes,
• and the work is not modified or adapted in any way (i.e. the resource has to be used ‘as is’).
Thus when you publish in JoE you retain copyright of your article, which means you can share it and post it to platforms likes ResearchGate. You just need to make it clear that the original publication was in the Journal of Education.
December 2020 issue
The next JoE issue is a general issue which will be published in mid- December 2020.
Submission of articles to the Journal of Education between the 15 December and 15 January.
Please note that articles submitted to the Journal of Education between the 15 December and 15 January will only be processed after 15 January 2021.
The editorial and administrative functions of the Journal will be closed between 15 December 2020 and 15 January 2021.
