Dear Recipients
Gift of the Givers teams are on the way to the Kya Sands Informal Settlement, north of Johannesburg, where a fire destroyed 500 shacks and rendered 2000 people homeless. A clearer picture of the aftermath will emerge today.
Hot meals will be served this morning followed by a distribution of blankets, clothes, food parcels, fruit, vegetables, biscuits, sanitary pads, diapers and personal hygiene items. Corrugated sheeting and wooden rafters will be given to selected families.
