And so the level of miscommunication and non-communication regarding DHET Registration for private training providers is about to be felt! It is apparent that more than 25% of the applications received by DHET for private training providers contained APX-01 applications instead of the required FPX-01 applications. All these applications are being returned and will not be processed.
Sadly, much of the problem has emanated from the SETA's, although there are some unresearched social media platforms and uninformed, dabbling "consultants" that have amplified the problem. This has resulted in providers incurring unnecessary costs and time wasting for no good reason.
Despite consistent efforts by Lynel and myself to ensure that providers follow the correct route, the plethora of unsupported opinions and miscommunications is having a devastating effect on efforts to get the DHET Registration process in line.
To all private training providers who are accredited by QCTO and/or a SETA, you are required to register with DHET, and to do so the FPX-01 form and Guideline must be used. DHET are very specific about applications received, in terms of the correct application form, format and content. Any deviation and applications are rejected.
Having been in contact with the Minister and Registrar at DHET, we are not only informed as to their requirements, but have been instrumental in having the process redirected to address the operations of private training providers and not colleges.
