CHE today approved accreditation for a provider that I guided through the process from start to finish. I am very pleased that we passed every step without any problems or queries! But it still it took 2⅔ years from start to full accreditation. Here is the timeline to give you an idea of the steps in the process.
• January 2016: We submit the application through CHE Online
• July 2016: The application serves at the CHE Accreditation Committee
• September 2016: CHE confirms accreditation for the Candidacy Phase
• 20 December 2016: SAQA approves the qualification
• February 2017: The first students enter the programme
• October 2017: CHE does the site visit
• 26 September 2018: CHE confirms full accreditation.
