Full Marks have developed a brilliant e-learning program. "Virtual Expert" is an interactive, on-line training system developed to up skill your staff in Open Office, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Project.) & Novell. Even Novell bought a license to compliment the lecture based training they do on their own software. It allows the user to “hear, see, read and do” the necessary application without leaving their work station. It is installed on the intranet which allows for training 24 hours per day with unlimited access. Management is able to draw full reports on individual users at any time. The system is extremely cost effective and a large percentage of this may be claimed back from your Skills Development Levy (From as little as 59 cents per day per user.) No paying for courses people can’t attend. Our customer, Standard Bank, called it “Just in time training. What you need to know, when you need it.” SA Breweries said “At last help files that actually work!” (No multiple steps in text only.) Investec said “Our support calls went down by 80% immediately” (Saving the cost of investing in our training program in just 6 weeks.) CSIR said “10 times better than any other CBT (Computer Based Training system) they have seen.” …A real compliment from our scientific community. Provincial Government Western Cape said “Empowerment at its best” because we can offer the Microsoft training in English, Zulu and Northern Sotho.
Their “Umfundi” Online assessment system was developed together with the University of Pretoria to create, administrate and mark unlimited online exams. It allows management to evaluate skills levels of employees/ students on any subject, at any time and is also extremely useful when recruiting new staff members. As it is an electronic system, all marking is done digitally and results are available immediately after the student has completed the assessment, and reports can be exported to Excel spreadsheets or printed in HTML format. UP have developed a library of over 130,000 exams which is a significant pool of the intellectual property of their professors. With Umfundi you can author new exam questions quickly and simply, and we populate it with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) unit standards assessments for the Microsoft Office programs– Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Project.
