NCA Workshop
Our NCA workshop will introduce and familiarise you with the specific provisions of the legislative framework regulating the credit arena. You will learn the purpose and objectives of the Act, consumer’s rights, how not to give credit recklessly as well as the different fees that you may charge under the Act. You will also learn about the requirements for collections, the much debated debt counselling process and how it affects your business.

POPI Workshop
On 20 August 2013 the National Assembly passed the final version of the POPI Bill. Once POPI has been signed into law, organisations will have 12 months to comply or face significant consequences. Any business which processes personal information, even if this is limited to their Human Resources department, will be impacted by the Bill and be required to comply. In particular those in the financial services field will be significantly affected and need to closely examine their processes and procedures in data processing and storage. In this workshop we will explain your obligations in terms of the Bill and practically show you how to prepare and ensure compliance.
Facilitator:
Abel Pienaar is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years experience. He is a member of SAICA, the Compliance Institute and the IIA. He has developed a multidisciplinary model which includes checklists to review the readiness of organisations for POPI and is currently reviewing POPI compliance at several large corporates.
