The Business Case for Learning & Development Standards

For a number of years Marius Meyer, the CEO of the South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) has been leading the process of developing standards for professional human resource management. Internationally, there is evidence that human resources make a critical difference to company performance.

The SABPP professionalism is based upon 4 pillars of Knowledge, Ethics, Governance, and Duty to Society, and 4 values of Responsibility, Integrity, Competence, and Respect. 7 priorities and 6 products – of which the standards are one.
