As SACE embarks on its efforts to sign up HOD’s in all schools on a three year cycle of Continuous Professional Development, the question on the minds of those entrusted with providing Professional Development programmes and activities to all educators in all schools must be:

How can we provide access to Professional Development programmes to some 450 000 educators country wide (Principals, HOD’s and teachers) in all public and independent schools?

There are approximately 55 032 HOD’s across the country that are required to embark on a Professional Development cycle from January 2015 and then approximately 342 680 teachers from 2016.

The Eazi Study on-line Teacher Development Centre can reach all HOD’s and teachers (as well as Principals already completing their first Professional Development year) in an affordable and sustainable way.

The Eazi Study On-line Teacher Development Centre meets the need for:

  • Training and development of school educators (Principals, HOD’s and teachers in three cohorts)
  • Communication of latest research methodologies in education, articles and news to all educators
  • Professional Development programmes that meet the needs of educators in a school environment and which comply with the standards and requirements of SACE
  • Resources that support the teacher in teaching, learning and assessment practices: Government Policies and Curriculum documents
  • A tool for educators to plan, implement and record their own Professional Development activities
  • Up to date, valid and current Continuous Professional Development activities (SACE CPTD activities 1, 2 and category 3)
  • A means for educators to communicate and network with each other to share ideas, solutions and best practice
  • A professional development system that is affordable. The Eazi Study on-line Teacher Development Centre offers Type 1, 2 and 3 Continuous professional Development activities at an annual registration fee of R240 per teacher per year.

Save Time and Save Money

An educator who registers with Eazi Study on-line for an annual registration of R240 has access to 19 different CPTD short courses, news, articles, research papers and community development initiatives; as well as a means of networking and communicating ideas and teaching and learning best practice in forum discussions with educators across the country.

Note: It would cost an educator from R350 to R750 to attend just one short course.
