Services SETA Vacancy: Quality Assurer

The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SSETA), a statutory body established in terms of the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act 97 of 1998), invites applications for the position hereunder: 


1. The closing date for all applications is 24 October  2014.  Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

2. Shortlisted candidates must avail themselves for interviews at a time, date and place determined by the Services SETA.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

2-year diploma in a SSETA-related field plus Assessor and Moderator qualifications and registrations

Minimum Experience

3 years’ working, 2 years’ professional, and 1 year’s supervisory experience

  • Develop and enhance stakeholder relationships
  • Advise stakeholders on quality assurance policies and practices
  • Conduct verifications and evaluations for the accreditation of Skills Development Providers
  • Evaluate learning programmes for approval
  • Evaluate applications for constituent assessor and moderator registrations
  • Conduct external moderation and verification of learner achievement 
  • Conduct monitoring and auditing of accredited providers


Performance Management

Appointment onto the position is conditional upon the signing of a performance agreement with the organization

Psychometric Testing

Candidates may be subjected to a Psychometric Assessment whose results will be taken into account in determining whether to appoint the candidate or not
