Call for expression of interest from services seta employers to register for discretionary grants to participate in SSETA funded learning programmes


CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FROM SERVICES SETA EMPLOYERS TO REGISTER FOR DISCRETIONARY GRANTS AND TO PARTICIPATE IN SSETA FUNDED LEARNING PROGRAMMES

 

The Services Sector for Education and Training Authority (SSETA) is a statutory body established through the Skills Development Act of 1998 to enable its stakeholders to advance skills levels in the sector in accordance to government’s growth initiatives.  All SETAs were recently reviewed and SSETA has been re- licensed to execute its mandate for five years (to March 2016). The SSETA is striving to build a system where skills production and development respond to the socio-economic needs of our country and its labour market. The Services SETA seeks Expressions of Interest (EoI) from member organisations, levy paying organisations (large, medium and small) and non levy paying small, micro enterprises, NGOs ,CBO’s NPOs and Co-ops that wish to participate in learning Interventions, act as champions of skills development, and implement programmes that are relevant to their skills needs and those of their industry. A range of learning interventions are available, including bursaries, learnerships, internships, RPL or skills programmes for both employed and unemployed candidates seeking work in the sector, as well as specialist support programmes for Small and Micro Enterprises (SME’s).

 

All those completing EoIs submission will be included on the Services SETA Employer database in order to participate in the various learning interventions.

 

Please quote Reference Number: EOI-01/2012 in all correspondence.  Correspondence without a reference number will not be attended to.

 

All Documents and Application forms will be available for completion from the SSETA website (eoi.serviceseta.org.za) or Regional offices on 07 December 2012. All enquiries regarding the EoI should be in writing and may be directed at E-mail eoi@serviceseta.org.za  by 11:00 on 10 January 2013. 

 

The closing date for submissions is: 11 January 2013 at 11H00.

NOTE: Employers whom do not complete or submit an expression of interest will not be eligible to discretionary grants for the next funding window. Services Seta will be unable to include your skills needs in the Sector Skills Plan. 

No late submissions will be considered.
