We are pleased to inform you that we have just launched this years “Green Talents – The International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development” Competition for a second time. As last year, it will take place in autumn 2010 with the award ceremony at the BMBF Forum “Research for Sustainable Development” (FONA) in Berlin.
Some things are new or have changed: You will find all the information about the competition on our new website www.greentalents.de, and there is also a new email-address: greentalents@dlr.de . At the team level, I have replaced my colleague Dr. Marion Mienert, who is now the responsible Head of Group of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and Russia at the International Bureau.

We have enclosed the 2010 leaflet and application guidelines. Please send it to all your colleagues and friends who might be interested in participating.
To make the competition even more interesting and useful for sustainable research contacts, the winners of the 2010 competition will be invited to return to Germany for an additional research stay (up to three months) at a German university, research institution or company. Here, they can carry out or further develop a research project during the year following their participation in the “Green Talents Forum”. Funding will be provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
