Business Enterprises at University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd in association with the Department of Human Resource Management of the University of Pretoria (BE at UP) have been contracted by ETDP SETA to
determine the skills needs in the ETDP Sector so that a Sector Skills Plan
(SSP) can be compiled that will enable the ETDP SETA to fully support the
National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III). In addition, National and
Provincial skills development priorities will be reviewed to ensure that they
are still valid.
The data from both the Workplace Skills Plans and feedback from responding constituents on our initial questionnaires were analysed as part of a pilot study and very valuable deductions were made. The
open-ended questions provided us with very useful data. It was, however,
requested by the ETDP-SETA to also conduct a quantitative analysis of responses
to close-ended questions.
Attached is the final questionnaire to assist us in verifying information and also quantifying the demand and supply of skills in the ETD Sector.
Instructions:
Section 1: Please complete all the administrative details in order to assist the researchers to analyse the data.
Section 2: Scarce Skills. Please Complete Section 2.1 and the Section relevant to your constituency.
Section 3: Critical Skills. All respondents should complete this section.
Please complete all the questions as accurate as possible by marking all selected answers with a (√) in the spaces provided.
Completed questionnaires could be sent back by fax (012 653 7030), email (tech@mentornet.co.za) or courier service (308 Piet Hugo Street, Wierda Park, Centurion). We would really
appreciate it if we could receive the completed questionnaires before Friday 6 August 2010.
