Mandela Day and Skills Universe members involvement
I posted a suggestion yesterday that all members of Skills Universe should consider contributing a minimum of R100 to a fund for the improvement of one school in the Eastern Cape.
Sylvia has expressed her agreement and now I would like to know from others if they are prepared to contribute. I have suggested Sylvia manage the funds if she is in agreement to do so and those members in the Eastern Cape decide on what school is most deserving.

Hi to all, apologies for the delay - I didn't realise quite how difficult it is to open an account these days! So I finally managed to organise an account in my name but it's a separate Pure Save account. The details are:
Account Name S F Hammond
Standard Bank,
Claremont Branch, Cape Town (no code needed for Standard accounts but if you do need it, it is 025109 - probably with 2 noughts at the end)
Account number: 27-530-628-3 puresave (apparently you don't need to add the puresave, it will go through without it)
Just to ensure that everything is above board, when the deposits have been received and we have paid out to what ever school or NGO is decided upon, I will post the statement on this Blog as well. I have started with a R100 to open the account.

The great news is that Sylvia has now managed to get a separate account opened for this venture.
The details will be posted tomorrow as there is a 24 hour waiting period before the account can be used.
That gives you time to approach your friend and colleagues to participate. Thank you Sylvia.

The initiative is progressing and Sylvia is in the process of opening the bank Account.
We need many more participants. I am disappointed so few have responded so far. Please contact all your friends on Skills Universe and those not on skills universe who are in charitable mode and ask them to contribute. Sylvia I am sure will comment furhter today - I am in an RPL meeting so will not be available.Come on all - Let's push this. We get so much for free from Skills Universe this is an opportunity to say thanky you and give something back.
