Why the need for more ABET?

At a time in the South African training landscape where the concept ‘ABET’ elicits quite negative reactions, why would one bother to invest in yet another ABET programme?

Totally stupid provider got it right!

In follow-up to the posting on August 11, I would like to announce that the ETDPSETA has finally managed to evaluate my three levels of ABET Literacy programmes and has declared them APPROVED!

Even though I am very thankful to be able to continue with this line of business, I am convinced that the process to comply to the requirements should not be so energy draining and definitely should not take this much time and effort from the client-end to drive the progress. I will continue to…

Am I the only totally stupid training provider?

I have been a fully accredited provider with ETDPSETA for some years now – although working on small scale as compared to Learnership delivering providers. I have successfully presented developed and aligned learning programmes (of which one is the Develop and Design course) for approval, and I have regularly negotiated the increasingly bureaucratic quality assurance system to upload learners with success.
