Professionalism in this industry

1. About a month ago, a new client sent me a portfolio to be moderated. There was no assessment guide, no alignment strategy document, the assessment documents did not contain the assessor's registration number, they were not dated, etc etc. When querying these omissions, the client sent me the assessor's email address, with the request to contact her directly. My response was, that my moderation rate did not include sorting out their administrative problems, and would she please sort this out,…See More

Rolf

I try to treat people fair and live my life without regrets.

However this does not necessarily mean that other people do the same, nor understand your personality or intentions.  Especially in emails and messaging I have found this morning.

It is never a nice feeling to lose anything let alone money.  Sorry for your lose too. Lets pray we all end the year with a big bang.

Hi Rolf

Thanks for the compliment on my “stellar job” done for your client Red Cherry Investments.  Just a shame that I am still awaiting payment for this?

Hi Rolf, Yes I am in Melkbosstrand, often up to Jhb as I run Engineer Placements with a partner resident there. I also give project management courses, mainly where and why they go wrong, intro to critical chain execution management and ambitious target structures; also trying to get a major training programme going for GCC Engineers in municipalities. Let's meet sometime, could have common ground as you mentioned

Hi Rolf, good to make contact again. SPE seems to have faded into a relic of its former self. It lost approval as a VA with ECSA as a result of not complying with the statutory requirements, and had a running conflict of sorts with ECSA.
The various specific discipline VAs are alive and well and have a good relationship betwwen themselves and with ECSA. They assist in providing the resources for the various engineering committees such as the PACs. What are you up to?
Regards,
Chris
