- Ricky Hinde
Ricky has been involved in the Cellular industry since late 1993.
He started out as a Sales Consultant and later moving into Branch Management, Area Sales Management and Consultancy. He spent 3 years working for the one of the largest multinational telecommunications companies in Europe, specialising in Mobile Data and Sales Management and Leadership.
On his return to South Africa he worked as a Mobile Data Specialist, consulting to various telecommunications suppliers. With this extensive experience, dynamic training style and natural ability to communicate, he moved into the field of Learning and Development where he held the position of National Training Manager for one of the main players in the telecommunications industry in South Africa. One of his greatest achievements to date is getting the organsation accredited as a Training Provider, a first in the mobile telecommunications industry.
He successfully completed his ODETDP in Training and Development. As a training specialist his expertise includes the development, design and delivery in all areas of GSM, Wireless Data, Key Account Management and Sales Management and soft skills. Ricky has presented seminars to the Mobile Communications industry world wide, covering Mobile Data Technology, Mobile Data Device Interoperability and Mobile Content Delivery.
Ricky currently consults to the likes of Vodacom and VW.

The reason I ask, is cause I'm currently exploring the option of leaving the "corporate" world and going on my own and wanted to find out what the market is like out there and explore the successes and challenges of others.
