Can companies insist on Medical Aid for all employees?

Greetings All,   I would like to enquire if  an employer can insist on medical aid being compulsory if the company does not contibute to it?    Many thanks

An employee has put in a request for sick leave to go to the dermatologist for a consultation. Is this appointment treated as sick leave?    Please advise.

I would presume that sick leave is for unforseen circumstances that cannot be predicted. If you make a booking with the doctor for routine checks and appointments, it should be considered leave.

Hi, Surely a few things would be considered regarding the "time off". Is the employee new or trustworthy and is the company going to take "sick leave" for all empoyees going to a doctor's appointment. It could be tricky.
