The WIsdom of Psychopaths

The most fascinating book I have ever read!! I tell you based on this we tend to test leaders trats as desirable for many of the psychopathic traits that they mention here. And I would hypothesize that certain work environments tend to reward psychopathic behavior. I have now taken two of these tests myself, and on the one I score average, but significantly below the threshold and on the other I score low. But wow this is an eye opener!!Written by Oxford Psychology Professor Kevin DuttonThe…See More

Consulting 101

Some time ago, as a result of some incidents in my own career I wrote few tweets on the topic of consulting (named it "Consulting 101"). Recent events that challenged thinking in terms of ethics made me decided to consolidate these in a BLOG:Invoicing:Do not invoice before you finished the work. Except if you made a prior arrangement or the client ask you to do so. However, if you are unsure about the payment credentials of the client, dont be scared to ask for a guarantee payment upfrontDo not…See More

Should MIning Be Mechanized, In the Wake of the Current Labour Situation?

Many, specifically engineers and economists argue that it is time to mechanize mining, given the current labour unrest and also the wake of Marikana. The basic idea is that it current depths and other physical considerations actually demands it and at the same time will the cost savings eventually benefit the economy as a whole. Here are some of my ideas on the issue:The issue is not only about cost saving and making profit. It is about reasonable profit (Business Economics 101) and whether the…See More

Hi Phil
We launched our PeopleSystems HR Management software suite this year. It is a South African developed system that offers the following:
HR Operational Management (people and job profiles, behaviour management, leave management, recruitment management).
Training Management System (all internal and external training as well as planned and actual training).
Compliance Manager (automatically completes EEA2, EEA4, WSP, ATR, LPR, PDP's in the format required for delivery).
QMS (ISO compliant Quality Management System)
Gap Analysis Manager
Evaulation Manager
Enterprise Performance Manager (Balanced scorecards, Strategy Maps, Dashboards etc.).

The best thing about our software is that it is a fraction of the cost of it's international competitors.
We are looking HR consultants who are interested in either referring potential customers to us or becoming a registered channel partner with fantastic revenue streams. Delete Comment
