Tell us about what you do
I am an experienced trainer and workshop facilitator. I have two certificates of competence: one as outcome based learning designer and developer (US ID 123401 and 123394 respectively) (2012) and one as a facilitator US ID117871) (2014).
In addition I have a teacher’s qualification for secondary education and a certificate Virtual Action Learning (e-learning), both from the Netherlands.

I am an agronomist and rural development economist holding two M.Sc. degrees: the first one in Plant breeding/agronomy from Wageningen University (1980) and the second one in Economic of Rural Change from the University of London (2006).

My technical expertise is in local economic, rural, value chain, enterprise and institutional development as well as in M&E, the logframe approach, the Theory of Change approach, impact assessment, agricultural research, gender mainstreaming, and environmental analysis and planning. She has worked with a large range of participatory methods.

My soft skills include analytical, communication, presentation, facilitation and writing skills, project cycle management, elaboration of project and programme logical framework, preparing Terms of Reference and writing tender proposals.

My professional experience spans more than 35 years gained through long-term assignments in Cape Verde, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa and Zambia. Short-term consultancies brought me r to Angola, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Mali, Mozambique, Philippines, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania (including Zanzibar) and Zambia.

In 2012, I established the L4DHub (PTY) Ltd which is based in Durban (CIPC registration no: 2014/215456/07). In fact, the L4DHub is a one-person (micro) enterprise; hence, I am my own boss and free to operate as a free-lancer.
Since March 2016, the L4DHub is accredited with the Service SETA as a training provider (10046) for the following US.
